YESTech to Introduce New Benchtop AOI at APEX Printed Circuits EXPO

New B2 Benchtop System Raises the Stakes in the AOI Cost-Performance Wars.

San Clemente, CA –January 24 , 2006 – YESTech, a leading supplier of automated inspection and yield enhancement systems for the electronics industry, will introduce its new Benchtop automated optical inspection system for post-reflow pcb's at the APEX Printed Circuits Expo in Anaheim, Calif. from February 8-10, 2006, in Booth 2178.

“The new B2 Benchtop AOI offers faster throughput, improved board handling, and other enhancements to further improve the YESTech advantage in cost/performance and customer ROI,” said Troy Johnson, YESTech's VP of sales. The B2 offers up to a three times improvement in inspection speed and improved fusion lighting to provide the highest defect coverage available by any Benchtop system. The B2 also features large board handling in a compact package, and complete software/board setup compatibility with the inline F1 series. Programming the B2 is fast and intuitive. Operators typically take less than 30 minutes to create a complete inspection program including solder joints. The B2 utilizes a stand package library to simplify training and ensure program portability across manufacturing lines. The newly available image processing technology integrates several techniques, including color, normalized correlation and rule-based algorithms to provide complete inspection coverage with an extremely low false failure rate.
