YESTech to Present Paper on 01005 Inspection at NEPCON China

YESTech discusses the unique inspection and quality assurance challenges presented with the growing demand for miniaturized components.

San Clemente, CA – April 16, 2007 – YESTech, an innovative provider of yield enhancement solutions for the electronics industry, will present a technical paper at NEPCON China on Wednesday, April 25, 2007. The paper focuses on the demanding challenges faced by AOI equipment manufacturers and their new product developments to accurately inspect assemblies with 01005 components.

There are many quality assurance challenges for printed circuit board assembly using 01005 chip components. The need for post reflow inspection is no longer an optional step in the assembly process. Due to the small component geometries, human inspection is all but impossible, and AOI inspection is the only way to guarantee high quality output. The YESTech paper focuses on the various characteristics of AOI machines that are essential for 01005 inspection such as high magnification, high positional accuracy, advanced lighting, quality optics and network capable software to share the inspection information.
