YESTech Announces New XXX 3-D X-Ray Inspection Option

3D Tomography Software can be used in any YESTech YTX-3000 X-Ray System

San Clemente, CA, November 21, 2006 – YESTech, a leading supplier of automated inspection and yield enhancement systems for the electronics industry, has added 3D Tomography capability to its high-resolution YTX-3000 X-Ray inspection systems. This new capability is used to generate a three-dimensional image of an object from a large series of two-dimensional X-ray images taken around a single axis of rotation. This new CT capability is available as an option to all YTX-3000 systems and is ideally suited for analysis of interconnections for critical applications such as stacked die, MEMS, package-in-package and package-on-package.

“The XXX Tomography option allows users to perform complete 3D x-ray reconstructions of sample parts, with the important analytical ability to section out high-resolution slices at any part of the image,” said Troy Johnson, YESTech’s VP of Sales. “The XXX option can be added to any YTX-3000 without any mechanical or electronic modifications, using only the built-in standard capabilities of the system.  This makes the cost of this new capability almost insanely low.  We’re very pleased to introduce XXX as we carry on YESTech’s commitment to continuous improvement for our customers.”
